Beanies

When the north wind drops on Ostend in November, there are two options: head home, or pull on a beanie and go anyway. At BINDY, we've clearly chosen the second one. Our beanies are designed for riders who don't give up when the temperature drops — and for anyone who simply enjoys a properly warm beanie.

Two models, two moods

BONNET ICONIC

Our signature beanie. Double-layer knit, folded cuff, discreet BINDY patch on the front. A clean silhouette that works equally well on the dyke and in town. The kind of beanie you keep for several winters without growing tired of it.

PON-PON

The slightly more playful sibling. Same knit quality, same warmth, but with a generous pom-pom on top to soften the silhouette. Perfect for days when you want a bit more character.

Materials and warmth

Our beanies are knitted in a premium acrylic-led blend, chosen for its warmth, softness and long-term hold. Acrylic doesn't scratch like some wools, dries quickly after a wet session, and keeps its colours wash after wash.

The double-layer cuff doubles insulation around the ears — exactly where you lose the most heat when the wind picks up.

Designed in Belgium. Like the rest of the line, our beanies are drawn in Brussels and then knitted by our European partners.

How to wear your BINDY beanie

  • Over the ears — the classic version, maximum warmth. The go-to for sessions or deep cold.
  • Pushed back — a more lifestyle vibe, forehead exposed. Ideal for cool but not freezing days.
  • With a cap underneath — the combo for riders going out in −2 °C. Cap visor for low sun, beanie for warmth.

Frequently asked questions

Do your beanies itch?

No. We've selected a soft acrylic quality that doesn't scratch, unlike some lower-end wools. Direct contact on ears and forehead stays comfortable.

What size?

One adult size, stretchy — fits most head sizes (men and women).

How do I wash them?

Hand wash or machine wool cycle at 30°C, flat drying to preserve the shape. No tumble dryer.
