Jackets
Belgian weather does not do nuance — north-westerly winds, drizzle, damp winters. At BINDY, we've curated three women's jackets designed for those conditions, drawn in Brussels with a confident feminine cut, no "girly" clichés. For the Ostend dike as much as the streets of Brussels.
Two families, three pieces
🧥 SHERPA
Thick sherpa fleece (synthetic "sheepskin" effect), soft lining, perfect for transitional seasons and mild winter. Two versions:
- Sherpa jacket, long sleeves — feminine fitted cut, for properly cold days.
- Sherpa jacket, sleeveless — the vest to wear over a hoodie or crewneck. Versatile.
💧 WATERPROOF
BINDY Waterproof jacket — women's cut, technical membrane that cuts wind and rain, adjustable hood. So you stop suffering the weather.
Sherpa: cocoon-style warmth
- Thick sherpa, brushed on both sides for a plush feel
- Feminine cut — slight waist taper, length designed to fall over jeans or skirt
- Soft inner lining, anti-jam metal zip
- Two side hand pockets sherpa-lined
- Mostly recycled polyester, PETA Vegan (no animal wool)
The sleeveless sherpa is particularly loved by women in the community: warm enough for the torso, leaves arms free, layers easily under another jacket in winter.
Waterproof: for Belgian rain
- Waterproof membrane that holds drizzle and showers
- Sealed seams in critical areas
- Adjustable hood with recycled metal drawcord
- Women's regular cut — roomy enough for a hoodie or crewneck underneath, but never a "tent"
- Watertight zip and storm flap on closure
Suited to rainy bike commutes, daily errands, dike walks when the sky can't make up its mind.
Who is it for?
BINDY women's jackets are for those who've understood that a real jacket makes the difference in Belgian winter. Sherpa for cocoon-warmth, waterproof for fickle weather. Both together for proper cold snaps.
Care
- Sherpa: wash at 30°C, delicate cycle, no tumble dryer, no fabric softener.
- Waterproof: wash at 30°C, technical textiles programme. Reactivate DWR every 6 to 12 months.
Frequently asked questions
Is the sherpa real wool?
No — 100 % vegan synthetic (PETA-approved), recycled polyester. "Sheepskin" effect from brushing, no animal components.
Is the waterproof warm for winter?
On its own, no — it cuts rain and wind but doesn't insulate. Layer with a hoodie or the sleeveless sherpa underneath.
Made in Belgium?
